YOUR voice...YOUR support...YOUR civic action
Imagine North Poway without the safeguarding presence of the Green Valley Civic Association (GVCA). Visualize a landscape marred by high density apartments, the intrusion of gas stations and 24-hour convenience stores into our tranquil rural haven, the disruptive roar of military air flight paths overhead, the cacophony of a traffic-congested concert amphitheater shattering our peace, Espola Road developed into a highway, and the distant rumble of an asphalt plant punctuating our serenity.
Thankfully, since 1960 the GVCA, led by our board of volunteers alongside our steadfast resident members, stood as a bulwark against these potential threats, safeguarding our cherished quality of life and preserving the essence of North Poway.
GVCA stands as a representative of the North Poway community, impartial to any specific entity, neighborhood, or narrow agenda. We advocate for the collective interests of all North Poway residents and our members. Our collective efforts resonate through the improved quality of life we enjoy today, and our enduring commitment ensures a legacy that will endure for generations.
Established in 1960, the GVCA (Green Valley Civic Association) is a north Poway association of citizens who come together to protect and improve the quality of life in our community. The GVCA is a volunteer based, non-profit 501(c)4 civic association and not a homeowners association nor do we enforce CC&R's.
